It is true that this song was copied from Kannada song "Sanje kempu
mooditu' from the film " Tande Makkalu" . In my opinion S-J has modified
the tune to sound better. Of course S-J was fortunate to have Rafi Sahab to
sing it.

How is it possible to copy from a film produced later? :-) Beti Bete is
from 1964, Thande Makkalu is from 1971. In Thande Makkalu some other songs
were also copied from Beti Bete.
