Shankar-Jaikishan's melodies from 50's and 60's captivates our hearts even
now. Now, that is MUSIC, that which reaches across boundaries of time.
Meena Kumari portrayed sentiments of young girl in love so well and the
movie provided full scope for Dilip Kumar's histrionic abilities. Bimal Roy
really knew how to put togther diamonds of movie-making, as proven in
Yahudi, Madhumati and Devdas - my favorites. Thanks Yuan.
