Rafi is singing for the well known character-actor Manmohan Krishan. Back
in 1973, I met him over a cup of tea at the open-air cafe of the Cottage
Industries Emporium on Janpath, New Delhi, with my late uncle who knew him
from their Lahore days. Very nice, unassuming man. This song revives the
memory of that pleasant encounter. Thanks, Su.

Calcutta were really part of a long northern axis in the pre-1947era. All
other cities in the north played second fiddle to them. Thus,indeed, Lahore
produced a great number of cultural luminaries.
