i wish rahman asked a more classically grounded singer to sing this..
shreya did a fantastic job, but there are better classically oriented
singers out there that would have been able to better keep up with ustad's
singing

@chanchal47 oh yes, you're completely right. sunidhi chauhan sells more
(nowadays) than lataji's classical pieces. but that doesn't mean sunidhi
chauhan is better than lataji.

the lady singer's voice seems to have been super imposed over an original
version of the song; it clearly shows in the speed & clarity of the
taans that one is a classical singer the other is not
