Mr Harsha, I Khem chand Prakash was the music director for the famous film
Raja Bhartruhari and it was a musical hit. Surendranathji sang the
following fanous songs in that film. 1. Biksha dede mayya pingla.. Duet

Saigal sahibs song.. Balam aaye baso more mun mein.. was from Devdas
produced in 1935 at Calcutta. Surendranathji made debut in films at Bombay
in 1936 in Deccan queen. He was asked to sing this song exactly in the
style of Saigal sahib. He made history with this song and was soon known as
Bombay saigal.

It is learnt that Surendraji was asked to sing this song exactly in the
style of Saigal Sahib and he did. This was his debut film in 1936. Rest is
history. He had no looking back afterwards.Soon he was called Bombay Saigal
and gave hit after hit.
