If I had million dollars I would try to make this movie in color.Each of
Meena Kumari's dress cost more than one thousand INR in those days. And it
is so colorful. I was a trainee in 1957 in our local theater(Cinema) Hall.
In a big Cinema screen it was fabulous. Thank you Halimali if this is your

It's a pity that such a graceful actress had a tragic end. She died in
difficult conditions and was unable to pay her hospital bills and they
refused to release her body. She had taken to excessive drinking in the
later years of her career that damaged her liver. A sad story is her life.

This song is a product of four greats in their respective fields: Rajinder
Krishan produced a beautiful song; C. Ramchandar composed a sweet tune;
Lata Mangeshkar lent her melodious voice and great Meena Kumari sang it on
screen. Such combinations may not be seen again - at least in the near
future.
