I agree. Sharda had a very unique voice. But Jaikishen did not like her. So
she only sang songs composed by Shanker.

Shankerji made few tunes specially for her which were so simple for singing
also, But Jaikishen's simple tunes are very hard to sing and both were in
process, but Jai's untimely demise destroyed all the plans

Lata had told Pyar behra bhi hota hai- about Sharada &Shanker team.She was besuri on many occasions & is not audible at all Post 80s,as she was singing with Budiya voice.Sharada didnt sound well,but sang beyond her potential.WOMEN are always JEALOUS and so was Lata and coudnt bear Sharada as competetor. Everybody in the music world know, LATA tried destroying careers of singers-Suman Kalyanpur, Asha Bhonsle, Anuradha paudwal, Sharada, Kamal Barot, Shamshad Begum, Mubarak Begum & even Mohd.RAFI.

O P NAYYAR & SHANKAR (of SJ pair) are 2 Numero Uno's of Hindi Film industry who were highly succesful & had numerous chart toppers without using Lata.Who cares if lata didnt sing? There were others better than her. Both complimented eachother for leaving her & still be successful. Who was Lata in 1948? Shankar made her through BARSAAT (Mind itttt) & what did she do- Fight with him, fight with S D BURMAN,O P NAYYAR,ASHA BHONSLE, MOHD RAFI, ETC. Trying to bully them?? Even RD left her in late 90s.

Well Sharda was good for a particular kind of tunes, but comparing her with
Lata Jii is unfair to Sharda.Do you ever imagine Sharda singing"O Basanti
Pawan Paagal" or 'O mere sanam o mere sanam'? If some body has to say
anything nasty about Lata ji..well he or she is entitled to his or her
opinion but there is no way you could take the sheen off Kohenoor

And who made Lata? SJ of course. If people like Bappi Lahari can sing hits, why not Sharda?

Lata's jealousy brought downfall of many MD.Even those who helped her during her lull career in 40s, 1 eg is would be MD of BARSAAT 1949, Ram Ganguly.

She made Asha Bhonsle sleep in railway platform for a full month after she left her first husband..ghar mein ghuss ne nahin diya.

Post 50s, she was making ruckhass that there should not be anyone else to sing if she was to be taken, else she move out.
