I'm white too and I love Indian culture. I don't really like this song
either but trust me, there are a lot of good Indian songs! I'm not sure
what you're looking for but you might like the songs from these movies:
Ishaqzaade, Band Baja Baarat, Mere Brother Ki Dulhan, Jab We Met, Dostana.

Indian films are generally good, this is pretty basic. And the lyrics of
this song are very well written. If you do not understand hindi/urdu well
you won't understand the beauty of the song, dance wise... yes it's not
great. Devdas has one of the best dancing i've seen so far
