People listen to songs and at the most praise actors or the singer but it needs poetic imagination to understand the creativity of the poet ho write the song as per movie situation. Imagine the constraints how difficult their work is. This song belongs to Neeraj, the most under appreciated poet, he is very high level.

Thanks man, somehow since I knew music was by SD Burman I presumed it was Neeraj since in those days, Neeraj had become main lyricist for SD. However, Anand Bakshi was also great poet. Glad you clarified.

@nonseriously: 100% lyrics play a key role. those were the days of quality and profound thoughts. Philosophical in nature, yet any age can relate to the thought. i have been hearing these songs since childhood... and loved them.
As much a i do not want to criticise today's pop lyricists.. they are shallow. except for prasoon joshi and gulzar..
