Beautiful semi-classical song by Lata Mangeshkar on Nalini Jaywant. Credit also due to S D Burman for the lilting music score.

Maestro S D Burman excelled in situational compositions. Here he has created an excellent song with the heroine in a forest, full of various birds and wild animals, having come there to see if her lover comes to her aid when she is alone in such dangerous surroundings. The 'sargams' and 'harkats' could not have been put to better use in this 'raaga' based song, to jell and/or to express so effectively with the various 'bhav's (moods) of the heroine. Just superb !

A gem from Dada Burman who used Raag Kaafi beautifully well for this song.
Shailendra wrote amazing words. Dada had composed many songs based on many
Raaga in his life time. Dr Surender Bhutani Warsaw (Poland)
