Forgot to mention that the music is by Khemchannd Prakash and is sung by Khurshid. The movie starred K L Sehgal and Khurshid. This is a 1943 Ranjit Movietone production.

what should I say? this song and film is before I was born but my elder brothers used to sing this song and thus I came to know it. What an innocent love exhibiting melody everything nostalgic

days. The interview appeared in Newsline magazine. What a great lady she

Thank you for posting this old gem. Khursheed looks very much like Meena Kumari ( smile and eye movements ) and to me it appears that Meena Kumari copied Khursheed's style in her early movies or was advised by directors to do so. Her own elder sister played minor roles in several movies and was called Khursheed junior.

Khursheed was the most beautiful and best singer of all times. Her first
husband died and she married bhai mian and lived a prosperous life in
Karachi. Such a combination of beauty and singing ability may never be
repeated.
