This is one of the gr8 patriotic songs by Rafi. Superb composition by
Vasant Desai. A good history lesson for young Indiands as well. Many thanks.

It was made first in black and white and later it was colored by
technicolor. 96 mins of the film of 2hrs 8min (selected scenes) were
colored in American release.

No, it was shot in color. Leave it to the Indian home video companies to
turn a color movie to black and white. The same was done to the 1957 color
film Pardesi.
