laxmi-pyarey wanted to get Lataji for this song. since they knew that the songs had hic-ups in between the lines they thought Lataji wont sing. then pyareylal came with an idea, he mentioned to Lataji that there is one more song to be recorded for the film which though she may not sing for it has hic-ups in it..and the reverse psychology worked and she said, nahi maein zaroor gaaungi. so this is how Lataji agreed for this song.
