That's possible, but Bollywood films also take songs from so-called "song
vaults", where songs are created and performed and kept until a filmmaker
decides to use one. That's why Rafi Saab's songs can be found in films up
to the late eighties. Just some trivia for you there:)

i bought this Lp in 1975. i do not remember when the film was released. or
if it was ever released. this record has some fantastic rafi songs. and
hamek is right. it takes years b4 the movie is released. remember, now the
songs which were not released coz the film died, are coming out by the
throngs. Teri Ada, Raton ka Raja, Night in Calcutta.etc. who knows how for
many films and how many songs did Rafisaab really sang? you should listen
to the gazal from Habba Khatoon. film died.
