Perfect singer!

This is one of the best songs ever sung and music directed. Great voice and
singing by the immortal. What a divine voice. Thanks for posting this. I do
not have words to explain my happiness. Thanks a lot.

The platinum standard of all subcontinental male voices in music!
Unsurpassed to this day and perhaps will remain so for eternity. To be
sure, there are many beloved singers from that era and today but, to change
the metaphor, KLS was like the North Star-- a visible guide to other
vocalists but unapproachable in the end.Thanks,mansoorn.

In my view Saigal was an anomaly. A person who started drinking heavily at
a very tender age is not supposed to have such gorgeous voice. what a gift
!!

upload..

Two greatest songs ever : Soja rajakumari and Mai kyaa jaanoo are form the movie "Zindagi". Unfortunately the prints of this movie is not available. How sad .

Hats off to Saigal saab, RC Boral and Pankaj Maullick .

What a voice. What expression. I make it a point to listen to Saigal only
once in a while. After listening to him all other music sounds pheeka.
Saigal projected the most authentic emotions ever.
Tonyroy00 on September 20, 2009
Well said, Pankaj Mullick, RC Boral and Saigal.where would we ever find such a combination.unbeatable...simpy the best..
SPChitale on October 25, 2009
Although I personally don't like Saigal's songs much I do like this song, Rumzum rumzum chaal tihari from Tansen and Do naina matwale tihare very much. They show why he was considered the greatest at that time.
buttegowda on January 28, 2010
Long live KLS, RC boral and Pankaj Maullick. This song is one of the top 5
songs ever recorded. This song is in Raag Kalyaan.
buttegowda on January 28, 2010
@SPChitale KLS's voice is like whiskey. Initially you may not like it ( I
have to say I am an exception. I just loved KLS when I heard him the first
time when I was around 10 years of age ) ... slowly he will touch your
heart and the soul.
SPChitale on January 28, 2010
I don't deny.and I have already acknowledged his greatness in my earlier comments. Anyway thanks for the reply.

@SPChitale - I would only like to add that K L Saigal is not only
considered to be the greatest Indian male singer of his time, but of all
time.

This man is the foundation of the Indian cinema industry. Not these young
guys and girls who behave like they are Americans. Saigal Sahab was an icon
and no one can ignore that, right! Even Mukesh, Mohd.Rafi and Kishore Da
used to copy his style. Anyway guys, Saigal Sahab will always be my hero.
May his soul rest in eternal peace. Blessings to you, Erwin.P ( Holland)

Listen carefully how Saigal has sung the word 'KYAA'. He was the only
singing star of his time and was followed by many. His voice was of a real
hero of a film. There were, of course, many talented singers like Pankaj
Mullick, KC Dey, Pahadi Sanyal but Saigal was No 1 to No 10. His sweet
voice has mesmerized many.

K.L.saigal had no formal education in music, acting, but he sang like a
master and all our Gurus acknowledged this fact. Classical singers find it
difficult to sing his songs,...it is Gods gift. And he acted so natural in
all movies that great actors cannot repeat hios performance..Devdas
included. He was humble person who gave Indian cinema and music a direction
which is unparalleled. All our great singers like Lata ji,Mohd,Rafi,Manna
dey.. every body has acknowledged this fact.

kia jadoo hai is awaz mein.

thank you for adding this.
Kannan Subramanian on June 23, 2013
There is a mystery that can never be unfolded and that is Punjab has
perhaps contributed more to music than Bengal+ TN + Maharashtra put
together And we thought Punjab is only good agriculture and Industry
Consider this = Madan Mohan + Roshan + Nayar + Saigal + Rafi . Beat that
folks:)
Kannan Subramanian on September 02, 2013
haha yes Jagdish you have reinforced my point awesome
Naveen Kalra on March 22, 2014
