@poraskp !! I am not totally againt Gandhi Ji's philosophy. I think if
someone attacks a person, then one should give him a chance or two. But if
possible then, not let other person injure or kill you. I think this is
true non-violence when u are trying not to kill others and yourself, u see.
SELF-DEFENCE if is a violence then NOT DEFENDING SELF & allowing other to
KILL ONESELF is also a VIOLENCE AGAINST ONESELF. Life is precious, y
sacrifice to a wrong person if possible to save it.
jahankavaasi on June 20, 2010
@poraskp !! I mean if non-violence can save you then why not. Sure then use
non-violence. Only thing is if non-violence does not saves you and still
kills you. Then you have the right to self-defence. BRITISH did not leave
India due to GANDHI JI i guess, I may be wrong but again this is another
way to see it. THEY left INDIA under agreement when they needed help for
the WORLD-WAR and GANDHI JI Agreed to help then in WAR. Which is again a
VIOLENCE, where did then NON-VIOLENCE GO. Anyway

After reading all the comments im just inspired that we young generation of
india has not and will never forget the great sacrifices of our martyrs. And
with respect to the Gandhi and Bahagat singhs way to achieve freedom both
were right in their own ways. As bhagat singh wanted us to be united and
not not allow the split in our views effect our integrity. as rightly
written let me adorn this great motherland of our not just with flowers but
with our sacrifices even if it meant our lives...

Bhagat Singh was a real hero, no doubt about it. But, the problem is that
people tend to forget the sacrifices of people like Batukeshwar Dutt (who
fasted as much as Bhagat) or Jatin Das who died of starvation (a very bad
death) and others in the group
respondindia on September 15, 2010
@MultiRebel420 yes you really know your history do you? Stop farting. The British left not because they were scared of the likes of Bhagat Singh. Anyway even after the British left I still see Indian slaves wanting to shine the shoes of a white man in Agra. Once a slave always a slave. The Indians can clean my shoes of Rs10 if they are so desperate I am not a porki or a paki and calling me that wont make a difference, I am also an Indian
Dude_spy on September 17, 2010
To all those people who believe Bhagat Singhs contribution to Independence
were less than Gandhiji, America the world power as we know, got
independence almost 300 years ago, they didn't beg instead they fought for
it and succeeded. You have to take stand and stick to it. It is saying, if
you want to change someone change yourself 10 people around you will feel
that change.

MrRootroboruchir on September 26, 2010
gandhiji and bhagat singh ji were wanting independence for india only their
method was different gandhiji was looking it in a spiritual dimension while
bhagat singh ji looked at it on a more physical dimension..but it
takes more than a man to be like bhagat singh ji sukhdev ji rajguru ji and
many more forgotten heros of freedom it is because of them that we r
independent jai hind!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
kupsw on September 27, 2010
If Gandhi was not there...We would have got independence before 1930 itself...Its all because of Gandhi we were in misery.

johnjohny27 on September 27, 2010
i feel like we were sleeping then and we are sleeping now as well. anyone
can play with our emotions and makes us week. Bhagat singh ji and few other
people were the only ones who could stand out of the crowd and rest slept
like we still are. we can do so much better to make India the best but
unfortunately we dont do anything.

Nice Clip... From what I understand of history, Bhagat singh & others chose
to get themselves caught knowing that the punishment would likely be a
death sentence to arouse the feeling of self sacrifice among common
people.. Violent acts by few were coming to be seen as acts of passion
which resulted into violence by state over the majority (& hence acts of
cowards).. Methods of Gandhi should not be discounted b'cos w/o the
involvement of the majority freedom would not have meant much.

@litteraround not only do people forget of martyrs like bhagat, dutt,
jatin, azad, and even pandey, people nowadays think gandhi is the sole
reason we are independent...
arjunhiral on October 16, 2010
we cant forget you heros, who sacrifice their whole life for our nation. and we are fighting to eachother now for religion and reservation. all these heros were from differnt religion and from different part of India but their voice for our nation was Youth Bhartiya.
anandghosh2002 on October 20, 2010
Don't you think we gave a LOT of unwanted importance to Gandhi?

I seriously think that Netaji should have been the first PM of india. He had some really great ideas like.

- There should be 5 state/province of India north, south, east west central
- No democracy till india is at least 80% literate. giving an illiterate the right to vote is same as giving a sword to a monkey.
- nationalization of labour & rapid industrialization
just to name a few.

Indian independence was a not a simple matter that was acheived coz of any
one Gandhi or Bhagat Singh. So instead of commenting who did what, who
was grt.. better think or rather work towards the aim which each of them
saw... Its said that history repeats itself... We need to make sure that
this indian history never repeats its self...

doubleroti2010 on November 13, 2010
@anandghosh2002 , even sardar valabhai patel would have made a great PM, but gandhiji had other ideas and put up nehru, who is behind many of the problems in india today. congress are a shameless corrupt government who are killing india and it's ancient culture day by day.

indians please use your vote wisely and get rid of the useless congress goons.

@Bisw25 Sorry to say but u r absolutely wrong...ur mind is brain washed
just like terrorist's kids...I respect Bhagat Singh's thoughts as well as
Gandhiji's. They both were right and most important that they both took a
stand for what they believed.
