this was the famous and fav. song of the program called chitrahaar.. we were kids at that time.. my dad used to sing this song.. and wud wink at mom :) , and we wudn't understand what was going on :) well now i do.. coz my hubby does the same :)

I agree with you. i've got some friends from Bihar and they are really fair - just like the Kapoors. I can't understand why some people tend to look down on Biharis though. Many Biharis are ugly, but I've met some who are really good-looking and intelligent people.

Among Bollywood personalities, a good example is Preity Zinta who is very fair - she is from Himachal Pradesh. Rani Mukherjee is from Bengal and she is quite fair too. Actually, Sharmila Tagore is Bengali too.

Actually, many Indians have dark brown hair. In the West they would be considered Brunettes - just like the ppl like Alyssa Milano and Jennifer Connely are considered Brunettes although their hair looks black when viewed from far. Fair Indians like Kapoors and Sharmila Tagore often have this type of hair - you have to look at the stands closely to notice it.
