song wise, this is one classic in every way imaginable in lyrics, music,
singing what have you...it is ingrained in the souls of at least a couple
of generations; sharmila who was 20 years old at the time this movie was
made looks young, cute and demure; however, shammi who was in his
mid-thirties or so when this movie was made had let himself go physically
with his decadent living; he is balding and his jowls are repulsive to
watch in the song; but, those were the days when a handful of families
monopolized the industry and it was difficult for outsiders to get a
foothold in the industry; had shammi been 10 years younger, he might have
been better suited for this song number...oh well...you take what you can
get, i suppose;
