Asha made this sweet thing even sweeter: this smile-on-demand called Kumkum! Where is she these days!
chamogaa on April 23, 2010
There are two old actresses to whom I always refer to as sweetie-cutie: Kum Kum and Nimmi. And IMHO in on-screen quality Kum Kum and Meena Kumari had the most endearing, honey-dripping voices. Here of course AB lends her own inimitable brand of sweetness to Kum Kum's on-screen persona, but do listen to Kum Kum's personal voice in the dialogue at the start. I too would like to know where Kum Kum is today, if alive. Thanks, MR.

@chamogaa. Aaargh! There's an extra "to" in the first line. Too bad YT doesn't allow editing out any typos after we send our comments.

The incomparable Asha no doubt, but the romantic nuances of Manna Dey and his unique ablity to add vitality and liveliness to any song does more than justice to this oldy goldy.

Wonderful song composed by Ravi. The rythem is "swing". This reminds me of another swing song "Nakhrewali, wo to koi aur thi jo ankhomen" by Shanker Jaikishen. Swing is western rythem and very popular in India in those days!!
