Yes, sadly he died on 31 January 2000, Bombay, Maharashtra after acting in 132 Hindi films. He was 92 years old.

Yes, sad to hear that but he must have had a good life. BTW, Raj Khosla lived a street down from us and I already mentioned about KN Singh. Also, Sashi Kapoor went to school with my dad -- they were in the same class and friends. I am not bragging but pointing out that the India of those days was different -- we were middle class but the rich did not have the airs and we all mingled fairly easily. How things changed later.
