A fine tale, yet, a riddle to untwine,
What form did Parvati give, this child divine?
No trunk, no ears of an elephant's grace,
Is this not, is this not, our Ganesha's face?

How Ganesha got the elephant's head, you see,
Another story, I'll tell it tenderly.
