anuraadhaa o anuraadhaa kyo ro pagali

magar mujhe hichakiyo ki awaaz to sunaa_i de rahi hai
achchhaa suno tumhe ek kahaani sunaa_un
bahot din huye ek baar gokul se gaye giradhaari gokul se gaye giradhaari

jit dekho ut chhaa_i udaasi rovat hai nar-naari

Poetic Translation - Lyrics of Anuraadhaa O Anuraadha, Gokul Se Gaye Giradhaari - अनुराधा ओ अनुराधा, गोकुल से गये गिरधारी
Anuradha, oh Anuradha, why, my darling,
Why these tears, what solace will they bring?
You wipe the drops away, I see them fall,
But hear the tremors of your sobbing still.
Listen, let me tell you of a tale,
Long ago, when Krishna left Gokul's vale,
Girdhari departed, from Gokul's embrace.
Desolation spread, a silent, empty space,
Each heart was heavy, weeping day and night,
Girdhari gone, and shadows dimmed the light,
The folks of Vrindavan, what pain they knew,
No peace in hearts, no respite for the view,
Tears flowed, a sorrow that would never cease.
And the gopis, their anguish took its toll,
They cried, "How can we go to Yamuna's flow,
To draw the water, where our love has gone?
For on the banks, no Krishna can be known."
But, do you know, who suffered most, my dear?
Anuradha, like Radha, wept in fear.
She, poor soul, in broken whispers cried,
"Kanhaiya, Kanhaiya," her soul did sigh,
"His name, a constant echo in my heart,
My Bihari, never can we be apart."
Bidya-pati speaks, Madhusudan's plea,
"Radhe, Radhe," let your sorrow flee.
Why these tears, what solace will they bring?
You wipe the drops away, I see them fall,
But hear the tremors of your sobbing still.
Listen, let me tell you of a tale,
Long ago, when Krishna left Gokul's vale,
