I just searched about the female singer, whom I sadly didn't know till now,
and the biggest shock that I got is that she is an assamese by birth and
sings bhojpuri folk songs, but the amazing marwari that she has sung with
such an ease is incredible. I am a marwari and trust me guys these kind of
songs are so touchy here, that we are very sensitive about the singing and
pronunciation quality, and I would say that the commendable talent of the
female singer in particular has made me feel goosebumps. Marwari singing is
not everybody's cup of tea, kudos to kalpana patowary...

to 5:55) sung by both the leads are in Assamese...actually
Brajawali...depicting the Vaishnavite influence Srimanta
Sankardev(contemporary of Sri Chaitanya, Kabir)...a 17th century saint
brought into Assam...well Assamese /Bengali sound similar and have
influenced each other. Thank you for liking the song though. Papon has
amazing ability to blend folk music.

Love the way the song builds up and culminates. Need more and more colorful
songs like these. Its so difficult to separate the beat box unless one

Its so heartening to see what an equalizer music is... two Assamese singers
singing a Rajasthani folk and taking it to such wonderful heights. Papon &
Kalpana... you rock!!!
