Nutan in particular was a very good singer. I heard her a few times and was
charmed each time. In her later years she wrote and composed devotional
songs, and sang them in family gatherings etc. I attended a few as she was
my wife's cousin. Singing needs a lot of time and commitment - these
successful actresses were probably too busy as actresses to sing their own
songs?

@lyallpurr I am not sure this is Madhubala singing. If Pujari was released
in 1946 then Madhubala was not yet 13 years old. The singing voice does
seem to be of a young singer. Perhaps she did sing this song. That would
suggest that she was a blossoming young lady- and perhaps she was already
rattling a lot of young mens heart.

in another clip on you tube i could see great c ramachandra singing. it is
people like u who made what youtube is now.mehzabeen was under duress in
