O Master of Medina, hear my plea, for God's sake,
Bestow your grace upon me, O Beloved of God, for God's sake.
My hopes are now upon you, let them not be in vain,
Standing at your door, may I find alms again.

Fill my empty hands, O Muhammad, fill them,
I shall not return empty, never.

From your threshold, the world knows what is true,

None who begs at your door, leaves without their share.

You are the refuge of the world, O Prophet,
The helper of the helpless, O Prophet.
You listen to all, whether friend or stranger,

You are the protector of the poor, O Prophet.

Fill my empty hands, O Ruler of Medina, fill them.

The world opposes, where shall we go?
To whom shall we reveal our wretched state?
We are your beggars, O Mustafa,
Before whom else shall we spread our hands in supplication?

For the sake of your grandsons, bestow,

I have come to your door as a beggar.

Every soul receives your generous grace,
Mercy for both worlds, you embrace.

Upon whom you cast a glance of grace.

In the gathering of the Last Day, we shall see them always,
Your followers will rejoice and say,

Whose shoulder bears the blessed cloak of black.

We are afflicted, wounded by Muhammad’s love,
We are in dire straits, defeated by grief.
O Prophet, for God's sake, give to us too,
