Though flames may leap from the moon's pale grace,
And coolness flow from the sun's hot embrace,
Yet in the heart of the Merciful, Compassionate One,
No difference will ever be found.

A wicked, arrogant demon,
Hiranyaksha, a warrior of dread,
Through his cruel acts,
Drowned the whole earth in the flood.
Seeing Earth's wretched plight,
Vishnu was grieved, his spirit wrung.
The Lord took the form of a boar,
And slew the demon, lifting the world.
Praise to the Boar-Lord, victory be!

He who became the Boar to save the world,
That Lord will carry all through sorrow's sea.
He who hears Vishnu's tale,
Will cross the ocean of existence free.
Keshav, Ocean of Grace, embodiment of love,
Victory to the Lord of the Universe, Hari!
Sing His glories, sing of Hari,
Who drives away all pain.
