How can you find ease,
O dweller of all realms?
The sighs of our hearts shall reach,
And shake your heavens one day.
You sit, a god, unmoved,

Within your home, for you alone,
A guest unto yourself.

What care have you for us, I ask?
You are not as we are made.
Who sleeps on flowers forever,
Knows not the sting of pain's blade.
Never again enter this world,
By chance, a human form to take.
Observe the play in silent grace,
Remain a stranger to this sphere.

Do you then swell with pride,
Because we bow and worship you?
Because we offer blooms to you,
And sing your praise, the whole day through?
If none shall worship, oh,
You who claim to be a god, attend!
We shall know you as a god,
When you ease the world's hard bend.
