Evergreen song by Hemant Kumar, that draws my memory decades back - I am
listening those favourite audios on radio programmes. In fact we had to
wait as there was not much choice, as is found now in computer and internet
age. Blessed are we further to find videos at our hands thanks to YouTube
and friends like you. Thanks for excellent presentation. I just remember
one more very beautiful duet from this movie - "saanvale salone aaye din
baharke" by Hemant Kumar and Lata Mangeshkar.

You are correct but "Pee Ke" also means same as "Pee Se". "Pee Se" meaning " with " and "Pee Ke" would mean " to ". Such are complications are found in all languages.

It is obvious that footwork is somebody else's because Meena Kumari was a
very poor dancer. Two of the best Hindi film classing songs ( Madhuban
mein: Kohinoor; Laga chunri mein daag: Dil hi to hai) are filmed on
non-heroines. MY QUESTION: Which is the best classical song on a heroine?

Yuan did the film Ek Hi Rasta have any songs other than Saanware Salone
aaye din Bahar Ke and this one? Hemant gave such melodious music - wish he
had composed more; guess he had to balance that against singing. Thanks for

Hello Yuan and thank you for this wonderful semi classical song. BR Chopra's first film as a director was "Afsana" 1952 with Ashok Kumar, Veena and Kuldip Kaur(Actor Motilal's wife). BR Chopra's first film as a producer was Ek Hi Raasta 1956 followed by Naya Daur 1957, Sadhna 1958, Dhool Ka Phool 1959, Dharamputra 1960, Qanoon 1961 or 62, Gumrah 1963, Waqt 1965, Hamraaz 1968. He used Ravi as MD and Sahir as song writer in most of his films. His latter films were all copies from the west.
