When OP was India's No. 1 composer he decided to prove his genius to the
die-hard 'old -school' of classical music.well charming as Geeta's voice
was he needed a singer with true classical training.YES. He knew only a
ASHA BHOSLE and her vocal ability could deliver a 'taan' like the one in
this gorgeous song again&again with razor like precision.Finally Nayyar was
in love with this voice-which would DARE to go where NO OTHER singer would

OP always claimed that he knew no classical music but his classical
compositions show that he was as adept at songs based on classical raags as
he was at rollicking songs or those based on folk melodies. His classical
songs seem rare only compared to the popularity achieved by his rocking
songs, but he composed quite a few melodious ones...

I think u don't know the diff between classical n classic...yes
u r rght that evry song op composed became instant classic.but
very few of his songs were classical or even semi classical..n thats
what yagniks means here.
