Ten birds perched on a branch, so frail,
Ten souls tethered to the wind's wild gale.
One took flight, a whisper in the air,
Vanished from sight, leaving only care.
How many remained, a chorus unheard?
Nine fragile spirits, by the breeze stirred.

Flying, they reached a garden of delight,
Kamala Nehru Park, bathed in sun's light.
Where laughter danced in flower-frosted gowns,
And joy bloomed, adorning leafy crowns.
A whimsical house, a shoe's embrace,
Where nine lost souls found their resting place.
Two flew away on wings so light,
Leaving how many to the fading light?
Seven remained, a feathered choir,
Perched upon the shoe, consumed by fire.

Flying onward, to a city's heart,
Calcutta's field, a brand new start.
Where sweets of fame, a sugary dream,
Echoed through India, a flowing stream.
At Calcutta's zoo, a wondrous scene,
With long, ivory tusks, a royal sheen.
Four elephants stood, a regal line,
Upon their backs, seven souls did shine.
Three departed, on a whispered plea,
How many lingered, wild and free?
Four remained, a resilient stand,
Upon the elephants, across the land.

Finally, they reached a sacred height,
Delhi's Qutub Minar, a beacon of light.
They bowed their heads, wings spread with grace,
And whispered prayers to the time and space.
"Delhi, our home, so dear and true,
Embrace us now, and make us anew.
Gather the lost, the scattered, the gone,
Let our reunion forever dawn."
In Delhi, they came, a joyful throng,
Reunited now, where they belong.
How many souls, their journey's end?
Ten birds, in Delhi, their spirits mend.
