Lyrics of Dekh Li O Dooniya Wale - देख ली ओ दुनियाँ वाले
dekh li o duniya wale teri duniya dekh li
dekh li o duniya wale teri duniya dekh li
thokare khati huyi apni tamanna dekh li
dekh li o duniya wale teri duniya dekh li

kal hamara dil kisi ki yaad se aabad tha
yad se aabad tha
kal hamara dil kisi ki yaad se aabad tha
yaad se aabad tha
aaj apne dil me ek hasrat ki duniya dekh li
aaj apne dil me ek hasrat ki duniya dekh li
thokare khati huyi apni tamanna dekh li
dekh li o duniya wale teri duniya dekh li

aaj duniya me nahi koi bhi ham sa badnasib
koi bhi ham sa badnasib
aaj duniya me nahi koi bhi ham sa badnasib
koi bhi ham sa badnasib
samne aankho ke lutti dil ki duniya dekh li
samne aankho ke lutti dil ki duniya dekh li
thokre khati huyi apni tamanna dekh li
dekh li o duniyawale teri duniya dekh li
dekh li o duniyawale teri duniya dekh li
lyrics of song Dekh Li O Dooniya Wale
Poetic Translation - Lyrics of Dekh Li O Dooniya Wale - देख ली ओ दुनियाँ वाले
I have seen, O world, your world I've seen,
I've seen, O world, your world I've seen,
My own desires, bruised and beaten, I have seen.
I've seen, O world, your world I've seen.

Yesterday, my heart, by memory, was blessed,
by memory was blessed.
Yesterday, my heart, by memory, was blessed,
by memory was blessed.
Today, within my heart, a world of longing I have seen,
a world of longing I have seen,
My own desires, bruised and beaten, I have seen.
I've seen, O world, your world I've seen.

Today, in this world, none more wretched than I,
none more wretched than I.
Today, in this world, none more wretched than I,
none more wretched than I.
Before my eyes, my heart's world, plundered, I have seen,
my heart's world, plundered, I have seen,
My own desires, bruised and beaten, I have seen.
I've seen, O world, your world I've seen.
I've seen, O world, your world I've seen.

Suraiyya and the composer duo Husnlal-Bhagatram sahab has given us so many
melodious songs. Unfortunately people have forgotten the actor-singer and
the composer duo as well. Thanks for sharing this gem from this team for
the film Balam (1949). The lyrics are again by Qamar Jalalabadi sahab.
"Dekh li oh duniya wale teri duniya dekh lee" is an exquisitely beautiful
song. Hats off to the singer, lyricist and composer duo!

Even though Husnlal Bhagatram is a good music director, all his songs sound
the same !! He failed to use the potentials of his orchestra ! Venkat.
