Yes I agree with abundela 76 that B hupen ji sang better than Lata ji.Only
a month back I had asked my daughter in law to prepare a CD of various
songs and had asked her to include this song sung by Bhupen ji.Instead she
included the song sung by Lata ji thinking that it is same.But I told her
that it is not same and in case of this particular song Bhupen ji's version
is much better and asked her to correct her mistake.

The same song of bangla version was used in a Bangla film of '80 s named
'Simana perie( Crossing the Border)', music director was of course Bupen
Hazarika.The director of that film was late Alamgir Kabir, who died in an
accident , sitting within a car that sunk with all passengers inside in
Jamuna River of Bangladesh.Very sad
