This is Pagdi (1948) as you said Sir. One of Sitara Kaunpuri Ji's most
famous and best songs. She sings with such a melodious and emotionally very
feeling voice. Unfortunately, she sang for, in fact, even less than 10
films (Hindi). All were within 1941 - 1950. Thanks for sharing.

My favourite song. Inspite of its tragic nature, it gives me great pleasure
to listen to it with close friends sitting around and sipping tea. Actually

had Vyjayantimala and Pradip Kumar with music by Ghulam Mohommad.
