Lyrics of Ek Din Radha Ne Bansuriya, Ik Baans Ki Thi - एक दिन राधा ने बंसुरिया, इक बांस की थी
mahaaraaj
suniye
ek kahaani

ek din raadhaa ne basuriyaa nadalaal ki
chupake se li churaa
ghar laa_i uthaa
aur krodh me aa boli
ki nigodi sach balataa
kyaa mantar hai
kyaa jaadu hai wo
moh rakhaa hai jisase mohan ko
hans kar baansuriyaa boli yun
thaharo sajani batalaati hun

ik baans ki thi patali si nali -2
jagal me ugi jagal me pali -2
taqadir magar kuchh achchhi thi -2
madhusudan ke mai haath lagi -2
( sajani jo kataa har ag meraa
kuchh aur hi nikalaa rag meraa ) -2
mai prem ko samajhi thi aisaan -2
sun kar hogi tum bhi hairaan -2

chhedo se meraa sinaa hai bharaa -2
aa haath lagaa kar dekh zaraa
chhedo se bharaa sinaa hai meraa
aa haath lagaa kar dekh zaraa

ab tan kyaa hai ik taan sakhi -2
pritam ke svaarth hai jaan sakhi -3
lyrics of song Ek Din Radha Ne Bansuriya, Ik Baans Ki Thi
Poetic Translation - Lyrics of Ek Din Radha Ne Bansuriya, Ik Baans Ki Thi - एक दिन राधा ने बंसुरिया, इक बांस की थी
Hearken, a tale, O Queen, attend,
Radha once, the flute did apprehend,
Of Nandlala, stolen from his keep,
And brought it home, secrets to weep.
With anger, thus, her words did pour,
"Wretched thing, what words, what lore?
What magic weaves, what artful snare,
That holds my Mohan in its care?"

The flute, with laughter, then did speak,
"Wait, my friend, and answers seek.
A slender reed, a forest's child,
In the wildwood, gently styled,
Grew, and flourished, soft and green,
Yet fortune's touch, a different scene,
Brought me to Madhusudan's hand,
A destiny I understand.
Each severed part, a sacrifice made,
A different hue, my form displayed.
I thought of love, in this wise way,
And you, too, will be amazed, I say."

My breast, with holes, is pierced and fraught,
Come, touch and feel, the lessons taught.
My body now, a single note,
A song of love, upon his throat,
A single note, a tender plea,
The Beloved's will, the soul of me.
