Once upon a time, a tale of old,
I heard it from your Uncle Raju, brave and bold.
A lion and lioness, three cubs so bright,
Mischievous as you, yet bathed in light.
"But Papa, what happened next?" They charmed them all, it's true.

Inside a cave, a humble dwelling place,
No sorrow there, no fear to embrace.
Loved by their mother, cherished by their sire,
Laughing, singing, joy their burning fire.
"What happened, Papa, tell us, please?"

Fate spun a web, a hunter came to call,
The lioness stepped forth, ready to stand tall.
The hunter's gun, a shot that pierced the air,
The lioness fell, a silent, wounded stare.
She closed her eyes, no more to rise,
A bullet's kiss, beneath the skies.

But as she died, she spoke in her last breath,
"My love, my mate, these cubs, escape from death.
Protect them well, never stray,
Their mother's role, you must portray.
But Papa, what does a father know?
Of a mother's heart, her ebb and flow.
How she laughs with them, how she weeps with tears,
He learned that too, through passing years."

Time stood still, then slowly did it start,
The village of the soul began to restart.
The cubs held his hand, learning to tread,
In place of their mother, in his arms, were fed.
Years and months, seasons came and went,
The lion cubs laughed, their joy heaven sent.
"The rest tomorrow, sleep now, little ones."
"Oh no, Papa, no, please,
Tell us now, Papa, please, right now!"
"Alright then, listen, how."

"Oh Rahul, Rohit, Rani, hear this tale unfold,
Sadness descended, a story to be told.
A fearsome lion roared, a shadow's blight,
Ready to devour, in the fading light.
The cubs fled in fear, their hearts ablaze,
But their father stood firm, in a courageous maze.
A battle began, the jungle trembled and shook,
Monkeys perched high, in fear, to look.
Snakes hid in burrows, the doves took flight,
Bears climbed the mountains, with all their might.
Elephants fled, in a panic's flurry,
The lion stood alone, in a desperate worry.
A fierce fight ensued, the king of beasts,
Felt the sting of defeat, the pain he feels.
The cubs cheered with joy, as the tale was spun.
The world was safe again, the battle won."
