Lyrics of Hazaaro Khwaishe Aisi (2) - हजारों ख्वाहिशे ऐसी
hazaro khwahise aisi ke
har khwahish pe dam nikle
bahut nikle mere arman lekin
fir bhi kam nikle
nikalna khuld se aadam ka
sunte aaye the lekin
bahut beaabru hokar
tere kuche se hum nikle
hazaro khwahise aisi ke
har khwahish pe dam nikle
bahut nikle mere arman lekin
fir bhi kam nikle
mohabbat me nahi hai
fark jine aur marne ka
usi ko dekh kar jite hai
jis kafir pe dam nikle
hazaro khwahise aisi ke
har khwahish pe dam nikle
bahut nikle mere arman lekin
fir bhi kam nikle
har khwahish pe dam nikle
bahut nikle mere arman lekin
fir bhi kam nikle
nikalna khuld se aadam ka
sunte aaye the lekin
bahut beaabru hokar

Poetic Translation - Lyrics of Hazaaro Khwaishe Aisi (2) - हजारों ख्वाहिशे ऐसी
A thousand yearnings bloom, a death in each,
As each desire exhales its final breath.
My hopes have risen, countless in their reach,
Yet still, the sum feels less than what it meant.
From Eden’s gates, we heard of Adam’s fall,
And how he left with shame upon his face.
From your own streets, I heard a similar call,
And left with more dishonor in this place.
A thousand yearnings bloom, a death in each,
As each desire exhales its final breath.
My hopes have risen, countless in their reach,
Yet still, the sum feels less than what it meant.
In love, no line divides the living soul,
From death's embrace, the whispers of the grave.
For we live on, to see a single goal,
And in that idol, our life we bravely save.
A thousand yearnings bloom, a death in each,
As each desire exhales its final breath.
My hopes have risen, countless in their reach,
Yet still, the sum feels less than what it meant.
As each desire exhales its final breath.
My hopes have risen, countless in their reach,
Yet still, the sum feels less than what it meant.

@madhurverma1 translation of the song: I have a thousand desires, all
desires worth dying for, Though many of my desires were fulfilled, majority
remained unfulfilled. Fits perfectly with Shineys character. All his
shallow, greedy desires become fulfilled: out all all the characters in the
film, he becomes the richest, most powerfull, most influential, however
they meant nothing to him because his true desire (for chitrangda to love
him) remain unfulfilled

I appreciate your interpretation & it makes sense, but for some reason I
feel this song is Shiney Ahujas feelings, reason being is he out of all the
main characters is the only one who achieves the financial & political
status he spent his whole life searching for (bahut nikale mere armaa.N ),
yet constantly feels unsatisfied because the one woman he loves doesnt love
him (lekin phir bhii kam nikale)

Though this song is excellently sung by many famous singers including Abida
Parveen but the ecstacy in Shubha Mudgal's voice is unparralel.. So
mesmerizing that one doesnot wish to come out of this amazing feeling and
the beautiful effect of this feeling gets multiplied if one can relate
himself with the feeling of Chitrangada Singh in this movie.. No doubt an
amzing work in Hindi Cinema !!

@madhurverma1 I agree with you that Shiney is a the personality you
describe. However his love 4 chitrangda is not. Despite knowing he will
never have her he devotes himself 2 her. His love for her is without
condition & @ each stage he gets rejected by her. To the extent of
personally rescuing KK (the husband of the 1 he loves) for the happiness of
his love. Whereas all the other love in the film is conditional, on how
much the other person loves them. so infact shineys love is the deepest
