Lyrics of Hum To Love Kar Ke Pachtaya - हम तो लव करके पछताया
hum to love kar ke pachhtaya
o dukhiya o dukhiya
hum to love kar ke pachhtaya
o dukhiya o dukhiya

update ek babu aaya
update ek babu aaya
hum ko pas bulaya
pas bulakar hath milakar
dilbar muh na dikhaya
o dukhiya o dukhiya
hum to love kar ke pachhtaya
o dukhiya o dukhiya

tum ho meet hamra bula
hum thoda sharmaya
usne phoran hath bhada kar
apne pas bithaya love karna sikhlaya
o dukhiya o dukhiya
hum to love kar ke pachhtaya
o dukhiya o dukhiya

ped nariyal ke lahraye
ped nariyal ke lahraye
chand khushi se muskaya
kitne hi din bit gaye hai
maukala nahi aaya
hardam uska yaad sataye
usne hume rulaya
o dukhiya o dukhiya
hum to love kar ke pachhtaya
o dukhiya o dukhiya
lyrics of song Hum To Love Kar Ke Pachtaya
Poetic Translation - Lyrics of Hum To Love Kar Ke Pachtaya - हम तो लव करके पछताया
I loved, and now I lament,
Oh, sorrow, oh sorrow.
I loved, and now I lament,
Oh, sorrow, oh sorrow.

Then, a new darling came,
A new darling came.
He beckoned me near,
Greeted with a hand,
But turned his face away.
Oh, sorrow, oh sorrow.
I loved, and now I lament,
Oh, sorrow, oh sorrow.

You are my friend, I called,
And shyly, I trembled.
He quickly reached,
And drew me near, and taught me love.
Oh, sorrow, oh sorrow.
I loved, and now I lament,
Oh, sorrow, oh sorrow.

The coconut trees swayed,
The coconut trees swayed,
The moon smiled with joy.
Many days have passed,
He has not returned.
His memory always haunts,
He has made me weep.
Oh, sorrow, oh sorrow.
I loved, and now I lament,
Oh, sorrow, oh sorrow.

Thank you for the precious information. I came to know of this movie, when
I was checking for Sahir Ludhianvi lyrics. Do you know any more songs in
the movie - YouTube has one more song "Ashkon ka ghar hai maut--For ladies
only(1951)--Asha Bhosle" Regards.

Minal Wagh sounds like some past female jazz singers of America. I feel a
certain similarity between her vocal quality and that of of Peggy Lee and
Rosemary Clooney in their early careers. Very sweet in a very distinctive
way. Thanks, Ajay.

He is not famous -Sahir but Sohanlal Saahir, He did this film only. This
film had six lyricists and 8 songs. A duet by Asha/Talat "khushi dil ki
barbaadiyan” never made it in the movie.

@chamogaa Actually, to me...she has the combination of Geeta D, Meena K,
and Minoo Purshottam :) Very lovely fine tune of voice. I believe(?) Lata
has sing with her too...
