was 7 when this released, and danced similarly in the 60's. Nothing
compares to the sheer sensuality of these hep cats in skinny slacks and
cool kittens absolutely shredding the floor - elevating to frenzy at about
the 5:10 mark, just prior to his devilish laugh - WOW!

Let's see, in the U.S. about the same time, we were enjoying The Green
Hornet, Ann Margaret swinging to Elvis in Viva Las Vegas, Beach Movies..and
Go-Go..etc. Jan Pehechan-Ho is really Swingin' Daddy-O! The Masks, the
blazing Brass instruments, the dancers wigging out and the swinging music
must have at one point been an inspiration to a younger Quentin Tarantino.
This clip is right up his alley. Perhaps he's seen it. And BTW, Elvis and
Ann Margaret would be so thrilled by this scene!

Rafi sahib passed away 30 years ago (31 July 1980), but his legend lives on as his voice still continues to entertain and amaze millions around the world. No one replaced humble, modest and pious Rafi sahib. He changed Indian film playback and music industry forever. He is a book on how to sing. His playback voice changed the fate of most Indian film actors, and made them superstars of their time. I am honoured to have met him, be his family's neighbour in London-UK. RIP Mohammed Rafi.

This song is sung by the famous singer Mohd Rafi Sahib I have been his
great fan ,he was a very humble and a pious person ,and it really
surprises me of his great inherent talent .The person on whom the song is
picturised is Herman Benjamin an Anglo-Indian,as he was a great
choreographer .He is no more but this song has made him and Rafi Sahib
immortal .The Indian film Industry way back in the 50s and 60s had many
Angloindians and Goans who had British and Portuguese ancestors .Herman
died young but has left the biggest legacy now being admired after 50
years.
