Really precious upload for beautiful singing by Ameerbai who had great
talent in classical and other singing. I have always adored her songs, most
of which were heard on radio programmes. Interestingly, I read few months
ago that she is from our Karnataka State (the name mentions it as
Karnatakai) - being the native of Bilgi, Bagalkote District of the State.
Thank you for excellent video presentation.

"Uljhe hain jab unch neech ki uljhan mein, bolo kaise chain mile phir
jeevan mein" Although these lyrics were penned around 1948, sixty five
years later, regrettably, we still see situations in our societies when
these words come true. Amirbai Karnataki's (of the 'Kismet' and 'Ratan'
fame) plaintive rendition tugs at the heart. Thanks for sharing this rare
bhajan from the bygone era, BharatGulji.

beautiful words strung in a sweet composition by s d burman ! i am not very
familiar with songs sung by amirbai karnataki , but as a bhajan lover , i
find this very beautiful . burman da always created melodious tunes as well

Indeed, the bhajan is moving. AK's rendition is soulful (an overused term),
however, there's also something about her voice, hard for me to explain.
