Kisi Ranjish Ko Hawa Do - किसी रंजिश को हवा दो, के मैं जिन्दा हूँ अभी
SingerChitra Singh Music by Lyricist Actor CategoryGhazals MovieThe Unforgettables (Jagjit Singh) (1976)
Lyrics of Kisi Ranjish Ko Hawa Do - किसी रंजिश को हवा दो, के मैं जिन्दा हूँ अभी
kisi ranjish ko hawa do, ke mai zinda hu abhi
kisi ranjish ko hawa do, ke mai zinda hu abhi
mujhko ehsaas dila do, ke mai zinda hu abhi

mere rukne se, meri saanse bhi ruk jayengi
mere rukne se, meri saanse bhi ruk jayengi
faasle aur badha do, ke mai zinda hu abhi
mujhko ehsaas dila do, ke mai zinda hu abhi

zehar peene ki to, aadat thi zamane walo
zehar peene ki to, aadat thi zamane walo
ab koi aur dawa do, ke mai zinda hu abhi

chalti raaho me yunhi, aankh lagi hai faakir
chalti raaho me yunhi, aankh lagi hai faakir
bheed logo ki hata do, ke mai zinda hu abhi
kisi ranjish ko hawa do, ke mai zinda hu abhi
mujhko ehsaas dila do, ke mai zinda hu abhi
lyrics of song Kisi Ranjish Ko Hawa Do
Poetic Translation - Lyrics of Kisi Ranjish Ko Hawa Do - किसी रंजिश को हवा दो, के मैं जिन्दा हूँ अभी
Fan the embers of a strife, for I yet breathe,
Fan the embers of a strife, for I yet breathe,
Remind me of my being, that I still live.

Should I falter, my very breaths will cease,
Should I falter, my very breaths will cease,
Deepen the divides, for I yet breathe,
Remind me of my being, that I still live.

To drink poison was the world's decree,
To drink poison was the world's decree,
Now give another cure, for I yet breathe.

On these wandering paths, sleep has found me,
On these wandering paths, sleep has found me,
Clear the crowd from me, for I yet breathe,
Fan the embers of a strife, for I yet breathe,
Remind me of my being, that I still live.

A singularly winning performance by Anonymous again ! She packs a knockout
punch of melodiousness . And she has rounded up, as before, every high note
in virtually flawless accord with the original song. That is the hallmark
of a seasoned singer. This is a recital worth multiple rounds of listening.
Beautiful pictures ornament the presentation. A fitting tribute to Jagjit
Singh. Thanks, Suhanee.

Jagjit Singh re-established love of ghazal singing in India. What he has
left behind will enthrall millions for years to come. He truly left this
world in better shape than he found it. RIP JS: you will be around here
even in your absence!

@prakamnigam The original is of course by Chitra Singh, but this version is
by a talented singer who prefers to remain unnamed. Some of us do know her.
