Lyrics of Ma Kaa Pyar, Behen Kaa Pyar - माँ का प्यार, बहन का प्यार
maa ka pyar bahan ka pyar
kabhi kabhi dulhan ka pyar
tere pyar ke rang hazaar
o basanti rani o basanti rani
maa ka pyar bahan ka pyar
kabhi kabhi dulhan ka pyar
tere pyar ke rang hazaar
o basanti rani o basanti rani
maa ka pyar bahan ka pyar
manjil jani anjani ho
safar me seher ho ya koi gaanv
sar pe humare dale aise ghani chhaya
jaise maa kare mamta ki chhanv
manjil jani anjani ho
safar me seher ho ya koi gaanv
sar pe humare dale aise ghani chhaya
jaise maa kare mamta ki chhanv
maa ka pyar bahan ka pyar
kabhi kabhi dulhan ka pyar
tere pyar ke rang hazaar
o basanti rani o basanti rani
maa ka pyar bahan ka pyar
kabhi hoke chanchal galiyo me bhage
kabhi rah chalte se takrayi
roku toh ruke naa aise mujhko sataye
jaise natkhat bahna sataye
kabhi hoke chanchal galiyo me bhage
kabhi rah chalte se takrayi
roku toh ruke naa aise mujhko sataye
jaise natkhat bahna sataye
maa ka pyar bahan ka pyar
kabhi kabhi dulhan ka pyar
tere pyar ke rang hazaar
o basanti rani o basanti rani
maa ka pyar bahan ka pyar
kabhi kahi janewala aisa koyi sathi mile
jiske bure hain karobar
baahe gale dal ke wo hi mujhe roke
kahe mat jao balma humar
kabhi kahi janewala aisa koyi sathi mile
jiske bure hain karobar
baahe gale dal ke wo hi mujhe roke
kahe mat jao balma humar
maa ka pyar bahan ka pyar

Poetic Translation - Lyrics of Ma Kaa Pyar, Behen Kaa Pyar - माँ का प्यार, बहन का प्यार
A mother's love, a sister's grace,
Sometimes a bride's embrace,
Your love, a thousand hues to trace,
Oh Basanti Queen, Oh Basanti Queen.
A mother's love, a sister's grace,
Sometimes a bride's embrace,
Your love, a thousand hues to trace,
Oh Basanti Queen, Oh Basanti Queen,
A mother's love, a sister's grace.
The destination, known or veiled,
In journeys through city and through town,
You cast a shade, a solace found,
As a mother shelters, love unveiled.
The destination, known or veiled,
In journeys through city and through town,
You cast a shade, a solace found,
As a mother shelters, love unveiled.
A mother's love, a sister's grace,
Sometimes a bride's embrace,
Your love, a thousand hues to trace,
Oh Basanti Queen, Oh Basanti Queen,
A mother's love, a sister's grace.
Sometimes playful, through the lanes we roam,
Sometimes we stumble, meet and greet,
To hold them back, alas, no home,
As a mischievous sister, bittersweet.
Sometimes playful, through the lanes we roam,
Sometimes we stumble, meet and greet,
To hold them back, alas, no home,
As a mischievous sister, bittersweet.
A mother's love, a sister's grace,
Sometimes a bride's embrace,
Your love, a thousand hues to trace,
Oh Basanti Queen, Oh Basanti Queen,
A mother's love, a sister's grace.
Sometimes a departing friend appears,
Whose ways are shadowed, dark and deep,
With arms entwined, he stills my tears,
And pleads, "My love, do not you weep."
Sometimes a departing friend appears,
Whose ways are shadowed, dark and deep,
With arms entwined, he stills my tears,
And pleads, "My love, do not you weep."

Yes this lovely song sung by the great Kishore Kumar is from Amitabh's movie "Khuddar" released in 1982, the very first movie of Mr. bachchan's released after the historic Coolie accident. I have seen this song, Amitabh sings is when he beats/ breaks his loving taxi Basanti and is very sad missing it.
