Mera Raaja Beta Bujhe Ek Paheli - मेरा राजा बेटा बूझे एक पहेली
Lyrics of Mera Raaja Beta Bujhe Ek Paheli - मेरा राजा बेटा बूझे एक पहेली
meraa raajaa betaa bujhe ek paheli
pyaari pyaari ankhiyo ki kaun saheli-nidiyaa
meraa raajaa betaa bujhe ek paheli
soyein sab jaage saari raat akeli-maa

ban than ke aaye nidiyaa lagaye
chaand ke maathe pe bidiyaa lagaye
ban than ke aaye nidiyaa lagaye
chaand ke maathe pe bidiyaa lagaye
mukhade pe chamake chandra kiran
meraa raajaa beta bujhe ek paheli
kaun vo dulhan naar naveli-raat

khoya adhere me melaa jaha ka
nain jharokho se sapano ne jhanka
khoya adhere me melaa jaha ka
nain jharokho se sapano ne jhanka
dhire dhire chale ri pagal pavan
mera raaja beta bujhe ek paheli
champa ke baalo me mahake chameli-gajraa
lyrics of song Mera Raaja Beta Bujhe Ek Paheli
Poetic Translation - Lyrics of Mera Raaja Beta Bujhe Ek Paheli - मेरा राजा बेटा बूझे एक पहेली
My king, my son, seeks a riddle's key,
Who is the tender friend of eyes, so sweet? - Sleep

My king, my son, seeks a riddle's trace,
Who sleeps the world, yet wakes in night's embrace? - Mother

Sleep arrives, adorned, a gentle hand,
Upon the moon, a jeweled strand.
Sleep arrives, adorned, a gentle hand,
Upon the moon, a jeweled strand.
Moonlight gleams upon the face,
My king, my son, seeks a riddle's grace,
Who is the bride, with fresh, new face? - Night

Lost in darkness, the world's fair,
Dreams peek through windows of care.
Lost in darkness, the world's fair,
Dreams peek through windows of care.
Softly whispers a mad wind's run,
My king, my son, seeks a riddle's sun,
Who scents the hair of champa's fun? - Jasmine

A sad song. It appears Lata the singer cried a lot during and after the
recording of this song. THANKS rajshri

it's a lullaby that she used to sing to her kid. It's the last time she'll
ever sing it to him, that's why its so sad. The lullaby consists of small
riddles for the child to solve. It's really quite sad and very touching
when he passes away. =[

I have no words to discribe - Just hear the words Satyajit says "Maa!!, Radha!!"
superb acting by all three characters - I am afraid to watch the movie - I might end in the hospital- thank you so much for posting.

Nutan's subliminal acting combined with Lataji's scintillating voice is the
best thing in Bollywood!
