The compass of my heart, it points true north,
Though heavens rage, and earth itself gives wrath.
I chart a course, a solitary plea,
Against the gods, the very tapestry
Of social weave, the law's iron hold,
The system's grip, a story to be told.
I walk the line, where conscience bids me tread,
Though shadows lengthen, and the soul is led
To fight the tide, to stand against the storm,
And find the truth, however cold and warm.
