A moon-child, a moon-child, a fragment of light,
Our daughter, our own, a radiant sight.
One day she spoke, "A steed I desire,

Her mother watched, as the moon-child soared,
To meet the moon, its secrets explored.
Welcomed by stars, their light aglow,
"Beloved, come to me," her mother did bestow.
Reaching out, "My darling, here I am,
My moon, my star," cradling her lamb.
"Sleep now, my princess, sleep now, my dear."
