The Leader's life, a saga forged in sacrifice,
A tapestry of giving, a youthful, vibrant price.
Childhood and youth, a sacrifice's embrace,
A story etched in valor, time cannot erase.

From tender years, a restless spirit bloomed,
A carnival of dreams, where passions consumed.
A tempest stirred within, a nascent fire,
A yearning heart that soared, ever higher.
In college halls, a Briton, steeped in lore,
Declared the "natives" base, and nothing more.
The lion's blood, in Bose, began to boil,
A slap that echoed, shaming foreign soil.
Expelled, yet Hindi's honor, he did keep,
The Leader's life, a harvest sown so deep.
A sacrifice's embrace, through youth's bright years,
A story whispered, drying childhood tears.

His parents pleaded, urged him to depart,
To England's shores, to play a safer part.
He bowed to elders, but a rebel soul,
Refused to yield, to lose his self-control.
He passed the ICS, a path to power's height,
Yet, for his homeland, chose to take flight.
Returned to India, Gandhi he did greet,
And knelt before the sage, at freedom's feet.
From Bapu, learned the lessons of the land,
To heal the wounds, to lend a helping hand.
He felt the nation's sorrow, understood its pain,
And girded up his loins, to break the chain.
They sought to bind him, imprison and to quell,
Yet, what can chains do to a spirit's spell?
A rebel heart knows not of fear's cold sting,
A flame that burns, a patriot's offering.

How can a moth fear fire?
When the very core of a life is ablaze?
The shackles, the prisons, walls that confine,
Heed not these woes, this heart of mine.
Obstacles arose at every single stride,
But the lion roared, the truth he could not hide.
"India is ours," he cried, "it shall be free,
From foreign grasp, for all eternity."
The government kept him, in silence bound,
But those who are brave, are rarely found
Confined in chains.
One night he vanished, silently he fled,
A morning's gasp, "Where has the leader sped?"
The government was astonished and bewildered,
Like a hunter when the nightingale has fled.
His mother's hope, a beacon in the dark,
"My son will return," her heart would spark.
The doors remained unbarred, for him to see,
Her son, her pride, her destiny.
That mother's love, the nation's greater plea,
He left his mother, to liberate thee.
To mend the fate, of India, broken and torn.

He journeyed far, our leader, far from home,
To wage a new fight, no longer to roam.
From India, to Kabul, then to London's shore,
Then on to Singapore, to fight once more.
He raised an army, a nation's dream,
A new song started to gleam.
He gathered every piece, to build a nest,
And sang, "Victory to Gandhi, victory to the blessed!"
"Jai Hind, Jai Hind, Jai Hind."
