O Master, what hues you weave,
Homes once thriving, now bereaved.
A maiden's honor cries aloud,
Not mine, this fate bestowed.
Seeking shelter, a desperate plea,
Youth once nurtured with such glee.

Homeless, banished, now she roams,
Queen of yesterday, in tattered homes.
A living corpse, her spirit frayed,
By love's cruel hand, her youth betrayed.

The lanes where she once played and grew,
Now pyres of ash, a mournful view.
The winds reversed, a deathly tune,
Flames engulfed each house, consumed.
Madness bloomed in fiery eyes,
With tear-stained cheeks and henna ties.
A lament's clarinet now calls,
On a bed of corpses, the funeral falls.
What fate is this, O Master's hand?
Change the decree, let freedom stand.
