During the making of Karz Kishore kumar got married for 4th time with Leena
and he gave instruction to every body that for a month i will not gona work
despite the fact Laxmikant of Laxmikant Pyarelal came to his home and said
that We got the date of Rishi kapoor for picturisation of the song and
producer want the song to be completed Kishore already got disturb by
seeing him, Laxmikant said producer ready to pay double amout to you as
fees and handover him a bag full of rupees when laxmikant take downstair
kishore kumar from the first floore of the banglow throw down the money and
screaming "Take your money what you thing of yourself i will not going to
sing get out" After sometime when he became normal Leena asked him that if
you don't wish to sing the song then why not tell him in proper way kishore
da look at her and tell do you think he is leaving my home and said
gatekeeper send Laxmikant in and laxmikant get in Leenaji surprisingly
looking at Laxmi ji and asked kishore da how would you know that he is
awaiting for you,kishore da reply i knew it because nobody else can sing
the song that's why he came here despite my warning,And the song is ''om
shanti om''.

This song depends so much on Kishore kumar because only him could sing such
a song.Fantastic music and orchestration by LP who showed how talented
and versatile they are...true that there are parts which have been used
from foreign songs but LP created a whole new song with these bits and
parts.and what a fabulous disco song it turned out to be thanks to the
genius of LP..it's much better than both the Caribbean song and Ma Baker
in terms of contents and musical arrangement..
