All thanks to Shalini Razdan for digitizing this one.. seems her channel was not accessible so I just uploaded it back! This one is a childhood favorite as remember watching the film in 70s on projector at our residential colony screening! beautiful composition by Jaidev!

I heard this folk song after 35 years,Very nice song neratting hardship of
our villages for gatting a pot of water for family for whole day. This look
like a documantery shows beautyful costumes,ornaments,innocent smile on
faces (though heat of desert),lonly peaceful landscape.Will todays
generation understnd how our previous generations had carried out huminity
to reach up to today's lavel.Nice composition and beautyful voice of Begam

The unsettling climax of this song makes it the gem that will remain with us forever. The haunting sadness on the faces of these women spoke of the struggle once most of India faced, leave alone Rajasthan. Here we fetch water while there we work in the rice fields or elsewhere herd cattle. What a beautiful song and what a beautiful film!
