Lyrics of Ram Katha - राम कथा
toh bholo siya pati ramchandra maharaj ki jai
pavan sut hanuman ki jai jai ho
suno suno ram katha yeh har legi sakal vyatha yeh
dashrath ke sukh ki gaatha purshon mein jo uttam tha
suno suno suno woh adhyaye
jab purshottam shri ram ne lanka pe kar ke chadayi
raavan ko dhool chatayi aur sita bhi wapas aayi
suno suno suno sunaun kalyug mein satyug darshaun
subh subh subh sandesh sunaun
ram siya ke gun main gaaun
suno suno ram katha yeh har legi sakal vyatha yeh
dashrath ke sukh ki gaatha purshon mein jo uttam tha
purshottam ram jagat ke pavan putra ram bhakat the
lacchman the dhaal se bhaari lanka pe hui chadayi
phir ram ji ne apni ardhangani mata sita ko paaya
purshottam ram jagat ke pavan putra ram bhakat the
lacchman the dhaal se bhaari lanka pe hui chadayi
toh bolo siya pati ram chandra maharaj ki jai
lanka pe lankesh hara ke dekh teer shamseeron se
chale ayodhya ram palat ke veeron se randheeron se
adhron pe muskaan dhari bhuja mein apni maan bhara
jai jai jai ram hui aur lanka mein lankesh mara
ram chale toh sevak bratha saath chale
gaaon gaaon mein ram siya ki baat chale
jahan jahan se raam ki sena guzar rahi
umad gumad ke jungle aaye aaj wahin
shor machaye jashn manaye ram siya ke darshan paaye
jai jai jai jaikal bulaayein pag pag pe deep jalayein
arrey suno suno ram katha yeh har legi sakal vyatha yeh
dashrath ke sukh ki gaatha purshon mein jo uttam tha
aur us ke baad sab mil kar ayodhya laut aaye
khushi ke palchin uss pal beetay ek murkh jab bola aise
ram hain keval lanka jeetay, lanka jeetay
kya paaya hai sita ko ram ne paawan
kya pawanta ko bhang kar gaya paapi raavan
ram yeh sun ke reh gaye mann se reetay reetay
agni pariksha de do bole paawan sitey
agni pariksha asur dhara ne manwa seencha
sita ne di agan pariksha
achhayi ki jeet sunischit hoti hai
sachaayi hi sabse menhga moti hai
hua daam ko tha sir neecha safal ho gayi agan pariksha
arrey safal ho gayi agan pariksha
gad gad ho ram yun bole, paawan se bhed yun khole
satya aur prem kabhi na mrityu ke aagey dole
suno suno ram katha yeh har legi sakal vyatha yeh
dashrath ke sukh ki gaatha purshon mein jo uttam tha

Poetic Translation - Lyrics of Ram Katha - राम कथा
Hark, the cry of victory rings, for Ram, the Lord of Sita,
And Hanuman, son of the wind, in joyous, echoing Kita!
Listen now, to Rama's tale, a balm for every sorrow,
Of Dasharatha's blessed reign, a golden, hopeful morrow.
Hearken, hear, this sacred lore,
When Rama, the purest heart, set sail to Lanka's shore,
And vanquished Ravana's might, and Sita was restored.
Listen close, a message deep, for Kali's age to know,
A glimpse of truth, a rising sun, in every dawn that glows.
I sing of Ram and Sita's grace, their virtues I proclaim.
Hark, the cry of victory rings, for Ram, the Lord of Sita,
And Hanuman, son of the wind, in joyous, echoing Kita!
Of Dasharatha's blessed reign, a golden, hopeful morrow.
Rama, the noblest soul, beloved of all the earth,
With Hanuman, wind's own son, in service from his birth.
Lakshmana, his shield of strength, where courage found its grace,
At Lanka's gate the battle raged, where evil met its trace.
Then Ram, His heart ablaze, recovered Sita's sacred face.
So hail, to Ram, the Lord of Sita, the ever-lasting light!
Lanka's king, subdued and crushed, by arrow and by blade,
Back to Ayodhya, Rama turned, with heroes unafraid.
A smile upon His lips He bore, His arms with valor filled,
“Victory to Ram!” the cry, as Lanka's darkness chilled.
Ram marched forth, His loyal brothers at His side,
In every village, Ram and Sita, their story did abide.
Where'er His army passed, through forests deep and wide,
The joy of their homecoming, a river ever tied.
Shouts of joy, a celebration, Rama and Sita's grace,
Hymns of praise, at every step, a light in every space,
Listen now, to Rama's tale, a balm for every sorrow,
Of Dasharatha's blessed reign, a golden, hopeful morrow.
And then, together, they returned to their home,
A moment of joy, then a fool's words did roam,
"Rama only conquered Lanka's land, he won a battle there,
What is the price of Sita's virtue, how can he compare?
Did Sita truly find redemption, or was she defiled by the foul demon?"
Rama, at these words, was left alone, with a spirit broken,
"To the fire she must go," he said, "her purity must be spoken."
Sita faced the flames, her sacred love did ignite,
Sita gave the fire her sacred test.
Goodness will always triumph, though shadows may abound,
Truth's a precious pearl, of purest, holy ground.
With bowed head, the world bore witness, as the flames did burn away,
Sita's test was passed with grace, and virtue found its day.
The test was passed with grace, and virtue found its day.
And Ram, His heart with joy did swell, His holy truth to share,
Truth and love will never fall, before death's cold despair.
Listen now, to Rama's tale, a balm for every sorrow,
Of Dasharatha's blessed reign, a golden, hopeful morrow.
So hail, to Ram, the Lord of Sita, the ever-lasting light!
