Sharaabi Sharaabi Ye Saawan Ka Mausam - शराबी-शराबी ये सावन का मौसम
Lyrics of Sharaabi Sharaabi Ye Saawan Ka Mausam - शराबी-शराबी ये सावन का मौसम
sharabi-sharabi ye sawan ka mausam
khuda ki qasam khubasurat na hota
agar isame rag-e-muhabbat na hota
sharabi-sharabi ye sawan ka mausam

suhani-suhani ye koyal ki kuke
uthati hai sine me rah-rah ke huke
chhalakati hai masti ghane badalo se
ulajhati hai nazare hasin anchalo se
ye puranur mazar
ye puranur mazar ye ragin alam
khuda ki qasam khubasurat na hota
agar isame rag-e-muhabbat na hota
sharabi-sharabi ye sawan ka mausam

gulabi-gulabi ye phulo ke chehare
ye rimajhim ke moti ye bundo ke sehare
kuchh aisi bahar a gai hai chaman me
ke dil kho gaya hai isi ajuman me
ye mahaki nashili
ye mahaki nashili havao ka paracham
khuda ki qasam khubasurat na hota
agar isame rag-e-muhabbat na hota
sharabi-sharabi ye sawan ka mausam

ye mausam salona ajab gul khilae
umage ubhare ummide jagae
vo betabiyan dil se takara rahi hai
ke rato ki nide udi ja rahi hai
ye sahar-e-jawani
ye sahar-e-jawani ye khvabo ka alam
khuda ki qasam khubasurat na hota
agar isame rag-e-muhabbat na hota
sharabi-sharabi ye sawan ka mausam
lyrics of song Sharaabi Sharaabi Ye Saawan Ka Mausam
Poetic Translation - Lyrics of Sharaabi Sharaabi Ye Saawan Ka Mausam - शराबी-शराबी ये सावन का मौसम
Drunk, drunk this monsoon's embrace,
By God, it would lack all grace,
If love's own hues did not entwine,
Drunk, drunk this monsoon's design.

Sweet, sweet the cuckoo's call,
That in the heart, a yearning thrall,
From clouds of darkness, joy does pour,
Eyes meet, with veils they explore,
This luminous scene,
This luminous scene, a world so keen,
By God, it would lack all grace,
If love's own hues did not embrace,
Drunk, drunk this monsoon's space.

Rose-kissed, the flowers' sweet face,
And raindrops, a jeweled lace,
A springtime's breath now fills the green,
Where hearts are lost, a joyful scene,
This fragrant, intoxicating,
This fragrant, intoxicating wind's wing,
By God, it would lack all grace,
If love's own hues did not efface,
Drunk, drunk this monsoon's trace.

This lovely season, strange flowers it weaves,
It stirs desires, hope it believes,
Restless longings, now they collide,
And from the nights, the sleep does hide,
This dawn of youth,
This dawn of youth, a dream's sweet truth,
By God, it would lack all grace,
If love's own hues did not erase,
Drunk, drunk this monsoon's place.

An excellent by Suman Jee who, was unjustifiably, shadowed though had the
talent and depth that can make her a legend. She is like an unsung hero-or
i should call a Heroine? A common man could never differentiate between her
and Lataji's voices. Thanks for posting such a wonderful classic. And
Roshanji has no comparison when it comes to musical score!!!!

Can there be a more underrated playback singer than Suman Kalyanpur? If not
this song, consider 'Mere mehboob na ja, aaj ki raat na ja..' from Noor
Mahal.

This song is sung by Suman Kalyanpur, not Lata
